About the project

Many medical technology innovations struggle to bridge the gap between research and development and practical use in healthcare. Today, there is a lack of structured environments where companies can receive feedback from healthcare professionals and verify their solutions before moving on to clinical studies and market introduction.

Care Innovation Labs addresses this challenge by creating a testbed where healthcare, education, and industry work together to develop safer, more user-friendly, and more relevant medical technology solutions.

Project goals

The project aims to establish Sophiahemmet Labs as a regional resource for early-stage healthcare verification of medical technology innovations. By testing innovations in real healthcare settings, the project supports product development, strengthens collaboration, and accelerates innovation within life science and medical technology.
